About the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup

Now in its 110th edition, the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is the oldest ongoing national soccer competition in the U.S., first contested in 1914. Featuring both professional and amateur clubs, it crowns the official national champion of U.S. Soccer.

The 2025 champion will earn a spot in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, receive $600,000 in prize money, and see its name engraved on the prestigious Dewar Challenge Trophy, housed at the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Frisco, Texas.

Defending Champion:

Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), who defeated Sporting Kansas City 3–1 in the 2024 Final.
