Manchester City blows Juventus away with an amazing attacking display which saw them clinch top spot in the group. Juventus had no answer to City’s attacking dominance which saw then concede five goals. Manchester City will now face either Al-Hilal, Salzburg or Real Madrid but whoever they face they will be filled with confidence after todays display against a top European side.
The Bianconeri had no answer for City’s dominance
With Juventus coming in second place they now have to possibly deal with the daunting task of taking down Real Madrid. As much Juventus tried to keep a compact shape their efforts were completely shut down by a City side that kept coming back for more. Even when Juventus tried to press Manchester City made sure that their effort to do so had minimal effect. Ultimately between their defensive errors, their failure to press effectively and City’s overwhelming attack Juventus were unable to find a formula to contain City.
The blues ruthless in front of goal
Manchester City’s ruthless display saw them score five past mighty Juventus side. City’s win also secured a top spot for them which may see them face a less dangerous opponent. City’s ability to get behind Juventus backline, draw players out of position and their ruthless finishing all contributed to their 5-2 scoreline. Not to mention the return of Rodri in the team also saw City control the tempo of the game. However City will want to make readjustments at the back with Ederson appearing shaky at times and the blues also conceding cheap goals.
