England’s top flight back in action

With the Premier League season on the verge of kicking off, here is a look at the teams who could go on to clinch the title. Just like other seasons, this contest could go right to the wire. The clubs we can expect to go all the way are Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea. One thing that must be noted is that whoever the winner ends up being, it is expected to be decided by very narrow margins.
Chelsea boosted coming off the back of a successful CWC

The first title contender is Chelsea. It all seems to be finally coming together for Chelsea after a few rough seasons. Coming off the back of a dream summer, where they were named world champions after taking down PSG, the Blues will arrive back for the new season with plenty of momentum. Chelsea will be keen to get their hands on the Premier League title once more. Having been boosted by the recent additions of Gittens, Delap, and Estevao, Maresca will have plenty of attacking options to choose from. Chelsea’s current system, which sees them create overloads centrally, absorb high press, as well as create overloads when attacking, is definitely something for opposition clubs to watch out for next season. Another thing Chelsea could use to their advantage is Enzo’s runs into the box, which free up space for teammates. All these factors make Chelsea title contenders this season.
Liverpool tipped as favorites after adding firepower to their squad

The second does not come as a surprise in any way. Coming off the back of their triumphant Premier League season and adding the likes of Wirtz, Frimpong, and Ekitike, it seems odd to talk about title contenders without mentioning Liverpool. At the moment, Liverpool seems like the most well-rounded team in England, with a solid defense, a midfield that clicks, and a lethal attack. Not to mention the potential addition of Isak. Having signed one of the best orchestrators of attacks in Wirtz, Liverpool can expect plenty of goals once again. It must also be said that having an anchor like MacAllister, who is at the heart of midfield, boosts their chances of winning battles in the middle of the park. Last season, MacAllister registered an 87% passing accuracy rate, which further highlights his tactical intelligence and vision.
Could it finally be Arsenal’s year

Last but certainly not least includes the likes of Arsenal. Could the North Londoners finally break their Premier League hoodoo? The signing of Gyokeres gives Arsenal that cutting edge they never had before, as he is expected to bring goals galore to the Emirates. Not to mention the recent signing of Zubimendi, who adds a different dimension to their midfield. The Basque midfielder boasts the ability to make incisive passes, operate in tight spaces, and intercept passes. Arsenal are also known to play in a manner in which they like to keep hold of the ball and make short, quick passes on their way to goal. Arsenal also knows how to maintain solidity at the back, with Gabriel and Saliba proving to be a fortress. The North Londoners also boast athleticism in the middle of the park, which could see them win many midfield battles.
