Bringing the excitement from the International Break

Which teams will go into Qatar in good form

The International Break is always a strange one for many because it is one that turns club teammates into rivals. This would the last international break before the World Cup. It is always an exciting time as it teams like Spain, Brazil, England, Italy and Argentina are always expected to entertain. Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Croatia are all in the semis and will hope to come out on top to qualify for the Nations League semi finals. Even though all these teams perform well in the international break can they take that form to the World Cup.

Football at it’s finest in Europe

The Uefa Nations League resumed for another round of matches. England’s misery continued as they lost against Italy and drew against Germany.  England have not won a single game in the Uefa Nations League drawing three and losing three. Spain however managed to secure a semi final berth against Portugal despite losing 2-1 Switzerland. Raspadori’s stellar display sent Italy to the semis and despite not qualifying for Qatar they will take a glimpse of joy out of this. Croatia also managed to secure a place in the semis for the first time with a win against Austria. Netherlands was the fourth team to reach the semis after winning against Belgium which proves they are a past their poor form from previous years. Germany disappointed as they were stunned by Hungary and squandered their lead gave England to draw 3-3. France were also disappointed against Denmark with a 2-0 loss.

Brazil & Argentina get comfortable victories

Brazil and Argentina both had themselves a stellar international break winning both of their games. The Canarinho started off by facing the Ghana Black Stars and beating them 3-0. Thanks to goals from Marquinhos and a double by Richarlison Brazil was able to defeat the West Africans. They then went onto beat Tunisia 5-1 with Neymar and Raphinha starring in that match. Argentina also has themselves a fine international break as they traveled to the U.S to face Honduras and Jamaica. They won both of those games by 3-0 with Messi starring in both and continuing his stellar form. La Ablecieste’s victory against Jamaica means that they are now 35 games unbeaten. They could break Italy’s unbeaten run if they do not lose in the group stage of the World Cup. Now the real question is will Brazil and Argentina be able to take their stellar form into Qatar.
