EL Clasico takes place on Sunday as this is promised to be a great game

The depth of the rivalry of the two clubs

The biggest game on the planet takes place tomorrow. One of the most watched rivalries and some of the two greatest teams in football face off for the 4th time. This is a clash full of tension, passion and love as this is a rivalry that gives bragging rights to the winner. Arguably the two greatest players of all time faced off in this clash for nine years. In El Clasico Real Madrid have 101 wins while FC Barcelona have 99 with the two sharing the spoils 52 times.

FC Barcelona have had their defense on lock

FC Barcelona who have been superb defensively have only conceded 8 goals in 25 games which is their best ever defensive record. The Culers have not always been known for being strong defensively so for them to achieve such a feet is incredible. They do not score a lot of goals but they are finding a way to win matches. Unfortunately for FC Barcelona Pedri who has really controlled the midfield will be out for this clash. FC Barcelona will also be missing Ousmane Dembele who is also ruled out through injury. These are two key players that could make the difference in big games and it is unfortunate that they will be missing out. FC Barcelona seem to focus more domestically than they do in Europe which has helped them play well in the league and the cup.

Real Madrid underdogs in this Clasico

Real Madrid have not been too impressive in La Liga. They have drawn 5 and lost 3 in 25 games. It is clear that their main target is the Uefa Champions League. They beat Liverpool 1-0 at the Bernabeu through a Benzema goal and to go through 6-2 on aggregate. They will take the confidence from that game to the Camp Nou and see if they can pull a league double on FC Barcelona. Real Madrid will be glad to know that Karim Benzema will be fit for this clash after picking up a knock against Liverpool. Karim Benzema loves an EL Clasico goal as he has 13 goals and 10 assists in 45 El Clasico appearances. Vinicius Jr and Benzema are having a phenomenal season and the pair have 19 goals in all appearances this season.

FC Barcelona have the advantage

FC Barcelona enter this clash as favorites and if they win this game it will put them 12 points clear. Unlike Barca Los Blancos do not have the best defense as they conceded 19 goals in 25 games. If La Blaugranas win this they would move a step closer to their 27th La Liga and to their first title in three years. Despite FC Barcelona’s amazing defensive record Real Madrid have the counter attack to break it down. Araujo will need to lock down Vinicius Jr to keep his threat at minimum. FC Barcelona will have the advantage of the home fans as they love a Clasico at home.
