Could this be a turnaround for Chelsea

Chelsea’s recent form has been convincing

When a team like Chelsea plays so poorly you start to ask questions. Graham Potter who was facing a lot of criticism from the Chelsea fans may have turned their season around. Chelsea had signed players to get them back to where they should be including a record transfer for Enzo Fernandez. However nothing was seeming to work for the Blues. Futbol Mundial brings how Chelsea could have potentially turned their season around.

Could the blues save their premier league season

The blues are really turning their season around and they could actually have hope of playing European football. Pressure was piling on Graham Potter to get a win after so many games but he finally managed to deliver. Playing Champions League football maybe a bit of a stretch for Chelsea FC as they are 11 points off the top. Chelsea had only won two games since returning from the World Cup break against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth at home. They had not managed to register a single win away from home. In fact before the Leicester City game they had not won away since October 1st to Crystal Palace. They will hope to maintain their current standards as they have 12 more games in the premier league.

Kante left a void in Chelsea’s midfield

It is obvious that the absence of Kante had affected them deeply. He has been injured since the beginning of the season since their away draw against Tottenham.  Kante being one of the best midfielders for his interceptions, defensive acumen and his work rate was at the heart of Chelsea’s midfield. He guided Chelsea to one premier league, one champions league, one FA Cup, one Europa League, one super cup and one club world cup. He will most likely return for their clash against Everton as he completed a full training session on March 3rd. This will serve as a major boost for Chelsea as they are still competing in the Champions League and will want to go as far as possible.

Will the blues qualify for Europe

Chelsea face tough remaining fixtures and these fixtures will judge if Chelsea has really turned their season around. The Blues face Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and other tough fixtures for the remainder of their fixtures. They also find out their quarterfinals opponent in the champions league on Friday. They will be hoping to avoid facing the likes of Bayern, Man City or Real Madrid as they are the favorites for this competition. Since they are out of the FA Cup the Champions League is their only competition left to fight for.
