Messi leads Ablecieste to victory
Lionel Messi starred in a game where Argentina had to struggle to find a goal against Panama. Thiago Almada finally gave Argentina the break through they needed as he opened the scoring in 78th minute. It was a special night for the young Argentinian Almada as he scored his first ever international goal. Eleven minutes later Lionel Messi would then seal the victory by scoring a stunning free-kick. That goal marked his 99th international career goal. He also managed to score his 62nd free kick which another remarkable feet.
Argentina return to international football in style
This was Argentina’s first game their frenetic World Cup final game against France. Argentina won the world cup through a Gonzalo Montiel penalty which gave Argentina their third World Cup and Messi’s first. It was Argentina’s first world cup victory since Maradona’s victory in 1986 against Germany in Mexico. This World Cup victory meant that Lionel Messi had completed football and become the greatest in history. It was a good homecoming for Argentina as they got to celebrate the trophy with their fans in Buenos Aires. Messi picked up exactly where he left off when he won the World Cup which was scoring goals. La Ablecieste faces Curaçao on Tuesday and pick up a second win during the international break.
Can Messi score 100 international goals
This game was special for many reasons as it was also Lionel Messi’s 800th career goal. Another milestone for the little genius from Rosario. He could also score his 100th international career goal and join the 100 goal club along with Ronaldo and Daei. Lionel Messi had not scored in three games for PSG but when he puts on the Ablecieste jersey he is a completely different kind of player. Earlier on this year he also scored his 700th club goal in a 3-0 win against Marseille.
