Man City Champions of Europe

Inter fail to stop a dominant City

Manchester City are the Champions of Europe for the first time in their history. They managed to secure a 1-0 win over Inter Milan. A goal from Rodri was the first and only goal of the match which earned him the man of the match. They managed to correct their wrongs from two years ago when they lost against Chelsea. Their victory in Istanbul meant they became the second English team to win in Turkey since Liverpool in 2005.

City make history with treble win

Manchester City overcame a stubborn Inter who were solid defensively throughout the whole match. A goal from Rodri was a perfect way to end the season as it was a season to remember. City managed to complete the treble by beating Inter as they also won the FA Cup and the Premier League. City became the second team in England to win the treble since Manchester United who won it 24 years ago. They also became the seventh team to ever win a treble alongside the likes of Barcelona and Bayern. They also became the 23rd team to win the Champions League. Haaland also managed to win the UCL top scorer. Man City also filled the UCL team of the season as seven of their players made the cut.

Inter fall short by the smallest margins

It was not to be for Inter Milan who fell short in the UCL Final. They were in their first final since 2010 where they beat Bayern 2-0. However that was not to be the case for them this time. Despite putting on a defensive masterclass against City they were unable to get the better of a City side that was too good on the night. One could argue that they had the better chances of the night considering the chances from Lukaku and Dimarco that should have gone in. Inter really proved everyone wrong by making the final against the odds as they started by beating Barcelona in the groups stage
