Mbappe hopes to see out his contract
Mbappe looks to be on his way out of Paris Saint Germain as he hopes to see out his contract. The French forward has been at the centre of attention in recent years with him being linked with Real Madrid many times. Earlier this season in November, there was speculation that Mbappe grew frustrated with how things were going at PSG. Futbol Mundial brings you how the Mbappe transfer saga has played out.
PSG wont let the Frenchman leave without a fee
Mbappe is trying to see out a move to Real Madrid next summer when his contract expires. In fact according to some sources it is believed that Mbappe has already struck a deal with Los Blancos. However PSG have made it clear that they would not lose the best player in the world for free. Nasser Al Khelafi has stated that he could either leave this summer or extend his contract. PSG feels that it would be a major failure on their end to lose the best player in the world for free. Mbappe is currently in his father’s home country Cameroon as he enjoys his summer vacation. Mbappe will not be too focused on transfer speculations as he tries to enjoy his summer after a long season.
Los Blancos unlikely to make a move this summer
However Los Blancos are unlikely to go for Mbappe this summer. Real Madrid president Fiorentino Perez even responded to a fan saying that they will sign him next summer. Real Madrid will have to be careful because them not going for him this summer could result in losing the chance to sign him. Mbappe has also attracted interest from several other clubs such as Liverpool, United and Arsenal. This could cause Real Madrid to act with urgency and could force them to make to sign him this summer. It remains to be seen whether he reports back to PSG’s preseason on July 21st. Former sporting director Leonardo who served from 2011 to 2013 believes that PSG should get rid of Mbappe. He feels the Frenchman will cause even more problems to the club as he thinks he is not a leader.
Mbappe has grown frustrated at PSG
Mbappe who has been with the club for six years was brought in to finally help the team win the Champions League. Despite the Frenchman breaking Cavani’s 200 goal record he has struggled to guide them to glory in the Champions League. The closest he has come is when Les Parisiens fell short to Bayern in the 2020 final. With PSG struggling in recent years in the UCL it should not come as a surprise that Mbappe is frustrated. The best players in the world want to win the best trophies and PSG has not supported him in that area. So it is no surprise that Mbappe feels that he could accomplish more in Madrid.
