Can the Three Lionesses really bring the cup home. The tournament begins in a couple of days and England begin the tournament by facing Haiti in their match opener. England will want to start by getting a convincing victory over Haiti. England should be able to top their group with ease as they face as they face Denmark, China and Haiti. England to try to get the better of USMNT
England will want to bounce back from the previous World Cup campaign in 2019 where they fell short to USA in the semi finals. They will come in with loads on confidence considering they won Euro 2022. They managed to defeat Germany 2-1 over extra time with Toone and Kelly starring in that final. England managed to win every game scoring a total of 22 and only conceding twice to win their first Euro’s. The Three Lionesses boast the likes of Beth Mead, Ellen White, Alessia Russo, Fran Kirby and many other. Despite the USWNT being considered favorites England will definitely pose a stronger threat than last World Cup.
England the favorites in their group
We take a look at England’s opponents Haiti, China and Denmark. So how are they shaping up to be able to take on their opponents. It will be Haiti’s first ever appearance in the World Cup. Haiti managed to beat Chile 2-1 in the play-offs thanks to a winner from Dumornay. The Haitians will be beaming with confidence after making their first appearance. So can they shock England to make a first appearance in the knockout stages. Denmark managed to do the unthinkable and score 40 goals in eight games whilst only conceding two. They will be their toughest fixture and they will want to prove a point against the group favorites. China will be making their second straight World Cup appearance. Despite not being favored to progress from their group China won’t go down without a fight
