Mbappe could be on his way out of PSG
Mbappe’s transfer saga news continues to get more entertaining as the summer goes on. There have been many dramatic transfer saga’s in football but one of the best saga’s is the story of Mbappe. During early July PSG told the Frenchman he had a week to two weeks to give PSG a respond about his contract situation. He missed that deadline and Al-Khelafi has put him up for sale. PSG are now entertaining offers from other clubs for Mbappe. Futbol Mundial brings you the highlights from the Frenchman’s transfer saga.
Al-Hilal could scoop up Mbappe
PSG have accepted a bid of $330 million bid from Al Hilal. It will now be upto Mbappe to decide whether or not he will agree to personal terms with Al-Hilal. The deal includes paying Mbappe $776 million a year. Real Madrid say that they will not go for Mbappe until Summer 2024. The Frenchman has expressed his desire to play out the final year of his contract. However Nasser Al-Khelafi has stated that “it is impossible to let the best player in the world leave on a free transfer. It is easy to understand Les Parisiens position on the French star considering they bought him for €145 million with €35 million in add-ons.
Real may have to make their move this year
If Mbappe was to agree to join Al-Hilal he would overtake Neymar as the most expensive transfer all time. He had the chance to Real Madrid last year but decided to sign a contract extension with PSG. PSG reportedly gave the Frenchman £4 million per month and many Real Madrid fans held up posters showing disapproval to his decision. Real Madrid were ready to offer Mbappe £20 million a year after tax but opted to stay at Les Parisiens. Many believe that he wanted to join just for money and he may be regretting his decision to stay at PSG. PSG are also frustrated because they believe he already has an agreement with Real Madrid to join in 2024.
