Premier League set to bring blockbuster clashes

Premier league action returns when the champions Manchester City take on Burnley away from home. After three long months away 20 teams from across England return as they all bid to secure their various goals. Many teams have made exciting signings over the summer and look to be able to compete now that they have completed their various signings. We take a look at the biggest matches and the players that are going to be exciting to watch. Futbol Mundial brings you the most exciting moments ahead of the return of the Premier League.

Man Utd aim to hit the ground running

The first match in the Premier League that we take a look at is Manchester United vs Wolves. Manchester United may have returned to Europe however Erik Ten Hag will want to rise above that. United have had a productive summer transfer window as they added Mount, Onana and Hojlund. They finally have a proper striker which they have been looking for many years. Wolves on the other hand lost Lopategui because of his frustration at the lack of signings. To add on to their misery they lost Ruben Neves who was a key part of their squad. If Wolves are to survive in the Premier League they need to make the most of the remainder of the transfer window.

Both teams soaring to reach new heights

The second game which will be worth the watch as the Premier League will be Newcastle vs Aston Villa. The last few months have been golden for Newcastle as they finished where nobody ever thought possible and signed many promising players. Reaching the Champions League is something Newcastle will remember for a long time and they will aim to also finish in Europe this season. Newcastle’s biggest achievement this summer was adding Italian midfielder Tonali to their squad. They also managed to sign Livramento and Barnes as well. Aston Villa on the other hand returned to Europe after 13 long years of absence. Villa has also had a productive transfer window adding Pau Torres, Tielemans and Diaby. Both sides are looking promising and will be hoping to hit the ground running as they kick start their premier league campaign as soon as possible.

Premier League action returns in perfect style

Arguably the game of the opening matchday as premier league returns will be Chelsea vs Liverpool. Both have been very busy in the transfer window however many would say that Liverpool has had a better transfer window. Liverpool have completely revamped their midfield by adding MacAllister and  Szoboszlai. The two will give their midfield a new look ahead and will try to steer Liverpool back in to the Champions League. Whereas things are not getting any better for Chelsea as they just learned that Nkunku’s injury is more serious than first anticipated. The Frenchman will spend four months on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury in preseason. This could be a major disadvantage to Chelsea and their position in the premier league.
