This weekend in particular had some blockbuster matches across Europe. There is now set to be another weekend of exciting matches this weekend in football.

Futbol Mundial brings you the best moments and matches from the football season this weekend.

The first match was Arsenal against Tottenham Hotspur. This game is one of the most fiercest rivalries in football. The North Londoners took center stage when they faced off for the biggest game of football weekend. Both teams had come into this game unbeaten and both were looking to hand the other their first defeat. Arsenal were looking like serious title contenders and Spurs were looking like they were on the verge of something special. Arsenal took the lead through a Cuti Romero who put the ball into the back of his own net. Then on the stroke of half-time Son equalized after he connected well with a cross from James Maddison. Arsenal then regained the lead through a Saka penalty only for them to throw it away a few minutes later as Son equalized.

Paris Saint Germain took on Marseille in Classique for the biggest fixture in french football. Les Parisiens were at home and without a doubt were favorites going into this game. The last time Marseille had beaten PSG was in the french cup in February. PSG managed to tear apart their bitter rivals 4-0 with the French Giants settling the clash by 47th minute. It was an extremely positive result for them after losing to OGC Nice 3-2. Paris Saint Germain will now turn their attention to Champions League football.

The Madrid derby kicked off when the two bitter rivals met for the first time this La Liga season. Being one of the best fixtures in football there is always lots of excitement and buildup going into this clash. Atletico Madrid managed to record a good win over Los Blancos with all three goals being headers. A double from Ex Real Madrid player Morata and a goal from Griezmann were enough to give Los Rojiblancos all the three points. Kroos’s goal had Real Madrid believing they could get back into the game but Morata eneded their hopes early in the second half. It was a great result for Atletico as they had a tough week prior losing to Valencia and drawing to Lazio in the last second.
