Inter Miami are winless in their last three games and it is giving many fans of the South Floridian side a cause for concern. In those three games one of their defeats came against Houston Dynamo in the US Open Cup Final where they lost 2-1. There was hope that Messi would recover for that game but his recovery proved to be slower than most thought. The Argentine hopped off in the 37th minute in Inter Miami’s 4-0 win over Toronto FC. They will hope to have La Pulga back as soon as possible so they can get their season back on track.
Even if Lionel Messi were to return Inter Miami’s chances of reaching the MLS Cup are very slim. With four games to go and them being five points off of 8th place it seems to much to ask for. However considering that Messi is arguably the best game changer in most peoples eyes anything is possible. If he can play at his very best as well as stay fit Inter Miami may just defy the odds and qualify for the MLS Cup. Inter Miami did however already qualify for the Concacaf Champions League and they will be going for that next year.
