Arsenal hope to get the job done at the Emirates
Arsenal take on Paris Saint Germain in juggernaut Champions League clash as both teams set to battle it out for a place in the final. Either Arsenal or PSG will have the chance to lift the Champions League for the first time in their history. Both teams are in strong form and it will be interesting to see how this clash goes. Arsenal will try to win by the biggest margin possible as they face a tricky away 2nd leg trip to the Parc de Prances. This will be the second time these two European giants meet with Arsenal edging the first game in the league phase.
Will PSG finally overcome their UCL hurdle
Paris Saint Germain reach their second consecutive semi final but this time against a much tougher opposition. Les Parisiens will hope to learn from their previous Champions League woes and finally break their curse in Europe’s biggest competition. PSG will face an Arsenal side who know how to maintain possession and control the flow of the game. The French Giants will need to disrupt the flow of the midfield flow from Arsenal to edge the Gunners. They can do this by overloading the middle of the park in the hopes of playing a good ball through to the PSG attack. Luckily for PSG they have demonstrated their ability to counter attack quickly and they also have fast players who are dangerous on the flanks. Arsenal’s defense is going to have plenty to do to keep out the attacking threat of Doue, Dembele and Kvaratskhelia.
Arsenal the favorites for the final
Arsenal will be confident that they can cause PSG problems with their set pieces as well as expose their loose gaps in defense. This Arsenal side look like a well rounded squad with their defense being solid, their midfield knowing how to dictate play and their attackers scoring goals. The gunners will be beaming with confidence having just come off the back of thrashing European giants Real Madrid 5-1 on aggregate. Arsenal will look to control the tempo of the game which will be key to them winning this tie. Their athleticism as well as their quick passing style could prove to be a problem for PSG who are vulnerable. However Arsenal will need to ensure that they maintain their shape at the back in order to keep out PSG’s quick counter attacks.
