Basque coach looking to improve the team shape

Xabi Alonso’s job will be to immediately improve team structure and give Real Madrid a proper team identity which they lacked this season. The Spanish coach was known for his ability to deploy an aggressive press on the counter attack and positional awareness at Leverkusen. Alonso’s ability to prioritize counter attacks as one of the main aspects of his managerial role at Leverkusen will suit Real Madrid who are already known for their counter attacks. His ability to be tactically flexible will also help Real Madrid who struggled to adapt their tactics this season when facing opponents that have a strong team structure. Xabi Alonso is also known for his ability to unlock the best out of players and that could massively benefit the likes of Ceballos and Guler. Guler already known for his creativity in the centre could have his game taken to a new level under Xabi Alonso.

Xabi Alonso has already proven himself as a manager with the young Spanish Coach ending Bayern’s 11 years of dominance in the bundesliga. He also managed to go unbeaten in the whole Bundesliga season and guided Leverkusen to Europa League final. Xabi Alonso made Leverkusen a team that scores late goals which will certainly suit Real Madrid’s mentality who already love to score late goals.
