Los Angeles FC to host playoff match at the BMO

Los Angeles FC and Club America set to face on in a playoff decider as both teams have their eyes set on a final at the FIFA Club World Cup. The winner of this clash is set to be the replacement for Club Leon who were disqualified from the tournament for breaking fifa regulations. The board of FIFA deemed that Club Leon’s multi-ownership was a violation of their regulations denying the mexican club the chance at competing in the United States this summer. Los Angeles FC will have a massive advantage given the game is at home. Considering the individual talent they also boast in their side it seems hard to see a result go against Los Angeles FC.
LAFC strong favorites going into this clash

Los Angeles FC will fancy their chances at booking a final spot at Club World Cup this summer. Los Angeles FC boast a strong squad with the likes of Bouanga, Under and Giroud in their ranks. The LA club have displayed tactical flexibility which has helped them in their approach when facing teams with different playing styles. Their strong midfield and attack also makes them much harder to face as they are known for their quick transitions while moving the ball forward. Lastly they are also known for having a strong home record making them a fortress in front of their home fans. They will certainly fancy their chances even more considering the match will take place at their home in front of their fans.
Las Aguilas’s underdog status could work in their favor

Mexico’s most famous football team Club America is ready to go to war with Los Angeles FC over a final place in the Club World Cup. Club America will not be focused on the fact that they are the underdogs going into this match but will instead be focusing on coming away with a win. Las Aguilas are strong defensively keeping a compact shape whilst maintaining organization at the back. They also have a tendency to win matches late against their opposition which could work in their favor against LAFC. LAFC do have their own defensive vulnerabilities when defending set pieces. This could see them get punished against a Club America side that boasts strong attacking stats. They also struggle to finish off some of their chances which coukd come back to bite them in this clash.
