Tottenham tops United

Tottenham broke their trophy drought after edging United by a single goal in the Europa League final. Welsh international Brennan Johnson gave Tottenham the lead with Onana mishandling the ball that proved to be the error that cost United the game. Tottenham’s victory means they have also have now booked their place in next season’s Champions League.
Spurs secure in UCL spot in the process

Tottenham have had an injury plagued season which is one of the main factors as to why their season has been so poor. Their lack of squad depth never made things any better for them either as they struggled to find the quality it takes to win big games in the Premier League. Going into this game was always going to be challenging for Spurs to take something away from this game. They have a stronger European pedigree, better individual talent and are more experienced than Spurs. Spurs can now take some positivity away from the season now that they have ended their trophy drought and secured a Champions League place. One thing is for sure though and that is Spurs will have a lot of work to do this summer transfer window.
More misery piles on United

Man United will be kicking themselves after their loss against Tottenham today. Man United had the chance to put the miserable season behind them by winning some silverware. Throughout the season Man United struggled with dictating the tempo of games, conceding cheap goals, creativity and scoring. They had the chance to at least forget about all of that until the summer transfer window if they had beaten Tottenham. Given their strong record in the Europa League this season you would fancy them to be able to blow this Spurs side away. That was not to be the case though against Tottenham . Their loss also means they will be absent from European competition next season and also piles more pressure on Amorim.
