The Frenchman nets brace in finale

Kylian Mbappe’s brace against Real Sociedad was enough to take him past Swedish Goal Machine Gyokeres who was leading the race going into the final matchday. Mbappe had numerous chances to register his first goal of the match but was denied by a magnificent string of saves from Unai Marrero. The Frenchman was even denied a penalty but his sharp awareness skills paid off and he was able to tap the ball home. He then scored against the Basque goalkeeper with a magnificent strike that beat him at the near post.
Continuing to prove his doubters

There were many doubts earlier in the season circulating around Kylian Mbappe. How would a world class player like himself fit in to an already perfect team ? There were many questions asked of his influence. In the first half he only managed to net 10 goals in 19 games. With Kylian Mbappe failing to perform at the level many know he can perform at questions were starting to be asked if bringing him in was a mistake. However in the second half of the season he started to show a lot more of that explosiveness we all associate him with. The goals started coming out of nowhere resulting in an incredible 21 goals in 17 matches in the second half of the campaign. Real Madrid will certainly be looking to make him the face of the project going into next season.
