With Round one under the curtains we look to round 2

With Matchday One already wrapped we take a look at some of the teams who are most likely to challenge for the title. Our pick for today includes the European Heavyweights Paris Saint Germain, Bayern Munich and Manchester City. These clubs all started of on the right foot with victories and are all one step closer to securing a place in the knockout stages. So because of their signings, their revamped squad as well as their squad depth these are the teams who have the best chance of securing the first edition of this Club World Cup.
PSG cruises to comfortable victory against Atleti

The first should not come as a surprise by any means possible. Paris Saint Germain picked up where they left of last season by annihilating Atletico Madrid in their opening game. Les Parisiens quick combination passes, ability to exploit loose spaces left by opponents as well as their lethal finishing in the final third make them the last team any club would want to face. Coming off their magical quadruple winning season where they secured their first Champions League everything seems to be going right for the French side. With all that being said it feels difficult to imagine any other winner aside from PSG given their current form.
Bayern put 10 past Auckland with scintillating performance

No matter how many goals they score you always feel that Bayern Munich want more. Evidence of this is when they put Auckland City to the sword after netting ten past the New Zealand side. Their counter attacks are something to fear and the Bavarians have proved to be a living nightmare for any side that comes in their way. Their aggressive and ruthless pressing also finds them getting the ball back in deadly areas which contribute to their chance creation. Bayern Munich will desperately want to secure the Club World Cup after missing out on the Champions League so one can expect them to give their all.
City secure 2-0 win over Wydad

Coming off a disappointing campaign where they nearly missed out on Champions League football Man City will hope to respond in style. Having just come of a transfer window where they were a busy club City will hope that their newbie’s can deliver. City made a bright start against Wydad AC but will want to be ready for tougher test which will arise as we reach the final stages of this tournament. After a frustrating end to the season Haaland will hope to get back amongst the goals and guide City to glory.
