Inter Miami get over the line
Inter Miami seal their place in the knockout stages as they defied the odds to escape past a tricky group. At the beginning of the tournament many had not favored Inter Miami to progress past the group but Messi’s sensational free-kick against Porto proved to be the defining moment that sealed their qualification. The Herons will now look towards Messi to guide them through the Round of 16 and into the quarterfinals.
The Herons face the daunting task of coming against PSG
Despite The Herons sealing their qualification into the next round their Round of 16 clash presents them an even heavier challenge. If the Herons are to progress to the next round they must first overcome the European Champions PSG. PSG’s firepower may prove too much for the MLS giants i however with Messi in their side there is always a chance. Inter Miami will need to have a perfect day at the back if they are to see their way past PSG.
