Ousmane Dembele’s new free roaming role has allowed him to become more effective as opposed to just being in one fixed position. His ability to draw defenders with him and play as a center forward or winger has not only freed up space for teammates but has contributed to his spontaneity. A Club World Cup victory for Dembele will undoubtedly seal the Ballon D’or for him.
Can Mbappe’s goals fire Madrid to victory
Mbappe’s arrival at Real Madrid came with lots of expectations in terms of individual performances as well as club expectations. Though Real Madrid failed to secure any major trophies Mbappe had a great season on a personal level. Despite a slow start to life at Los Blancos Mbappe quickly turned his form around with the Frenchman firing on all cylinders. Mbappe started to be more explosive and also became a deadlier finisher which played part in him winning the Golden Boot. After a disappointing season for Los Blancos they will now be looking towards Mbappe to fire them towards Club World Cup success.
Musiala could prove the difference maker
Jamal Musiala is a strong candidate to win Young Player of the tournament especially when he plays for a Bayern side who will fancy their chances of winning the competition. Musiala already had a bright start to the tournament showcasing his goalscoring skills with a hattrick in the Bavarians opening game. Though Bayern’s game against Auckland was straight forward Musiala will play a huge role in trying to steer Bayern past Boca and Benfica.
