With Cunha and Mbeumo being signed who else will Utd add
With Man United beefing up their attack with the additions of Bryan Mbeumo and Mateus Cunha, they are still yet to find the right clinical striker that can bring in the numbers they need to return amongst the European best. Last year, they thought Zirkzee was the answer, but that did not prove to be the case, with the Dutch striker only netting three times in 32 occasions. With Gyökeres’ move to Arsenal all but finalized, Man Utd’s options for an attacker who can lead the line are narrowed down. Here are three potential strikers who Jim Ratcliffe could bring in to finally add that cutting edge that United have been lacking over the past seasons.
Isak may be too much to ask for
The first option would be considered not only a marquee signing for Amorim but a dream signing for the club. Many reports claim that Alexander Isak could potentially be exploring a move away from the Magpies. The Swedish international was previously linked with Liverpool, but now that the Reds secured Ekitike’s signing, it increases the likelihood of a move to United. Isak has netted over 20 goals in the past two seasons, with this previous season being his best yet in terms of numbers. Hojlund and Zirkzee do not seem to be the answer United need to get over the line in prestigious competitions. Isak is known to be a technical player who excels at making the right runs, staying composed in front of goal, as well as his versatility.
Sesko appears the likeliest option
Although not as promising as Isak, another option who could lead the line for United could be Sesko. Despite Sesko’s profile being less convincing, one skill he possesses that most strikers around Europe do not have is his aerial prowess. The Slovenian striker, standing at 6’5”, could be what United need in situations where they struggle to break down low blocks. His ability to score many goals with his head, as well as find himself in the right position, could be what United need to score more goals.
Jackson the least wanted option after poor CWC form
The third and final option for United could be none other than Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson. With Chelsea bringing in Liam Delap, it appears that Jackson’s role at the club could be significantly minimized. The Senegalese striker may not be at the top of the list for United, but his ability to deliver goals and the fact that he has proven his worth in the Premier League makes him a serious option to consider. He is known for his runs, his ability to hold up play to create chances for his teammates, and his ability to work hard off the ball.
