After being given such an iconic shirt, Kylian Mbappé will be expected to live up to the expectations that come along with a jersey with such a great legacy. The French international will be hoping to top his numbers from last season and guide Real Madrid to another La Liga title.

After a slow start to the campaign last season, Mbappé finally managed to get up to speed during the latter part of the season. If Real Madrid are to achieve their objectives, Mbappé’s goals will be key. It will also be interesting to see how his new role under Alonso will impact his overall performances. Xabi Alonso will demand that he, along with Vini Jr., drop deeper and join the press when out of possession. Mbappé, however, will relish the challenge like he always does and will be excited by the prospect of continuing the legacy of the famous number 10 shirt at Real Madrid.
