Julian Alvarez had an impressive first season under Simeone, registering 17 goals and 4 assists in the league. La Arana thrived last year and was able to integrate into Simeone’s squad with ease. Alvarez demonstrated his ability to drop deeper and help defensively off the ball but also knew when to be in the right place to create a goalscoring chance. This year, Alvarez will be handed the task of carrying Atletico to victory in La Liga.
