The Argentine talisman netted a brace to send Inter Miami to the final of the Leagues Cup, a competition they missed out on last year. Messi managed to win the tie for Miami in the 88th minute before Segovia won it for the Herons in the 91st minute. Inter Miami were twelve minutes away from elimination until Messi leveled the score from the spot.
