Real Madrid are currently working on deals to sign Spanish midfielder Rodri and Ivorian winger Yan Diomande. Los Blancos have completed multiple summer deals so far, as the Spanish giants look to bolster their squad following a disappointing 2025/26 season.

Rodri has made it clear he wants to join Real Madrid for football and family reasons, with Man City now braced for an approach, despite hoping to keep the player. He is not expected to sign a new contract as he prioritises a move to Madrid this summer, according to Ben Jacobs.

With just one year left on his current Man City contract, Real Madrid will have to negotiate a transfer fee with the English giants to obtain the services of the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner.

Alongside their interest in Rodri, Real Madrid are also working on a deal for Yan Diomande. Real Madrid sent a €100m official bid to RB Leipzig this week, with a €90m plus €10m add-ons proposal on the table. Leipzig have rejected the bid, as they ask for more than €100m to let Diomandé leave this summer. PSG have been in talks for weeks but have no agreement yet with Leipzig, as Real remain in talks.

If the Rodri and Diomande deals go through, it will be Real Madrid’s 5th and 6th signings of the summer.
