The timing of the request has left United surprised, as the plan before this was to include him in the first team squad for their Carabao Cup match against Brighton on Wednesday.

Speculation over his next decision has intensified, with Ben Jacobs reporting that “although nothing is formally lined up, it’s understood JJ Gabriel has another Premier League club in mind”. Along with this, it was reported by Real Madrid sources that Gabriel is following Real Madrid, Real Madrid Castilla, and all Real Madrid players on Instagram.
While no offers are on the table as of yet, it is expected that most major European clubs will be after JJ Gabriel in the upcoming weeks.
