Real Madrid make a comeback to win 5-2

Liverpool vs Real Madrid is one of the most iconic Champions League clashes in European history. Both teams went into this clash with a lot to prove on both ends. Liverpool was hoping to finally seek revenge against Real Madrid after being knocked out and losing two finals to Los Blancos. The two club went face to face on Tuesday with Real Madrid getting thrashing Liverpool by 5 goals to 2. 

Real Madrid leave Liverpool hoping for a miracle

It was Darwin Nunez who had given the Reds the advantage inside just four minutes which was in 2^nd consecutive goal. Nunez is growing in confidence and for him to be able to open the scoring against the European champions is big for him. Ten minutes later Courtois made a horrendous blunder led to a 2^nd  goal for Liverpool. The Real Madrid keeper accidentally passed it to Mohamed Salah and was punished as the Reds led 2-0. Real Madrid then got back in the contest as Vinicius got a goal back. Another awful blunder was made on the other when Alisson was trying to clear the ball but it came off Vinicius to make it 2-2. As soon as the 2^nd half arrived Militao made it 3-2 then Benzema added another two. 

One foot in the quarter final

Real Madrid had went on to get a convincing win ahead of the 2^nd leg. They basically have already booked their spot in the last 8. Unless Liverpool can pull an amazing miracle out of nowhere. Liverpool is out of form and the Champions League is really all they have left. Real Madrid on the other hand is enjoying a great season in the Champions League topping their group and scoring an outstanding 15 goals. The Champions League however is a competition where anything is possible and in the last few seasons we have seen many scenarios where a team had nothing and went on to win. 

Real Madrid will hope to avoid a slip up Liverpool is not yet out of this

The second leg at bernabeu will have lots to look out for. Both teams will be hoping to enter the game in the best possible form. Although Real Madrid has the upper hand they will not take anything for granted at the bernabeu and try to go for another victory. Vinicius Jr and Benzema love a goal against Liverpool and Los Blancos will be hoping they can both get on the scoresheet. Real Madrid can expect to go through but Liverpool will try and have a say.
