Christian Ebere is at a pivotal moment in his career with Cruz Azul. While the Nigerian forward is currently training with La Máquina in preparation for this Saturday’s Campeón de Campeones match against Toluca in Carson, interest from Brazil’s Vasco da Gama has put his future in the spotlight.
The Brazilian club has reportedly already contacted Cruz Azul’s management to inquire about the striker’s situation; his contract runs through December 2028. However, Cruz Azul has not ruled out negotiations, provided an offer is made that benefits all parties.
The club’s leadership believes that the investment made in Ebere has already yielded positive results, especially following his role in winning the 2026 Clausura title. Furthermore, the African player is in top form, having scored the winning goal against Puebla last Tuesday.
