The knockout stage of the 2026 Leagues Cup begins in late August and will feature eight teams from Phase One. The top four teams from each table (Liga MX and MLS) advanced to the knockout stage to compete in a single-elimination tournament. There will be eight matches in the knockout stage, including a third-place playoff played between the two losing semifinalists to determine who qualifies for the 2027 CONCACAF Champions Cup. Both finalists will also qualify for the continental tournament, with the winner qualifying directly to the Round of 16.
- For Liga MX, the four teams that qualified are: Leon, America, Toluca, and Monterrey
- For MLS, the four teams that qualified are: Chicago Fire, Austin FC, Columbus, and Real Salt Lake
The bracket was officially set, with the following matchups set for August 25 and 26:
- Leon (Liga MX 1) vs. Real Salt Lake (MLS 4)
- Toluca (Liga MX 3) vs. Austin FC (MLS 2)
- Monterrey (Liga MX 4) vs. Chicago Fire (MLS 1)
- America (Liga MX 2) vs. Columbus Crew (MLS 3)
The winners of Leon (Liga MX 1) vs. Real Salt Lake (MLS 4) will play the winners of Toluca (Liga MX 3) vs. Austin FC (MLS 2). The other semifinal matchup will take place between the winners of Monterrey (Liga MX 4) vs. Chicago Fire (MLS 1) and America (Liga MX 2) vs. Columbus Crew (MLS 3).
The semifinals will take place on September 1/2, with the third-place playoff and final taking place on September 6.
