Major League Soccer (MLS) returns to action Saturday for Round 28 after a weekend off during the international break.
Inter Miami vs. D.C. United
Inter Miami return home looking to end a difficult run of league form after losing 2-1 to Columbus Crew last weekend. Messi remains the league’s leading contributor, with 21 goals and 13 assists, and will once again be central to Miami’s hopes of getting back on track.
D.C. United arrive with their own ambitions, sitting just outside the Eastern Conference playoff picture. Both teams need points, but Miami’s attacking quality makes this a particularly important opportunity for the hosts to regain momentum.
Charlotte FC vs. FC Dallas
Charlotte enter the weekend fifth in the Eastern Conference with 43 points, while Dallas sit third in the West with 47 points, just three points behind Vancouver. The visitors have a chance to strengthen their postseason position, but Charlotte will be eager to take advantage of home support as they sit just three points behind New England in second place (46 pts).
New England vs. Seattle
Despite the setback from their 3-0 loss to Real Salt Lake, the Revolution remain second in the Eastern Conference with 46 points, ahead of Inter Miami on head-to-head matchups. New England will head into the night as favorites, having lost just once in seven previous meetings at Gillette Stadium.
Austin FC vs. Nashville SC
Nashville have established themselves as the league’s standout team. They were the first MLS club to clinch a playoff spot this season and have combined the league’s best defensive record with a dangerous attack. This fixture is also a rematch of the 2025 U.S. Open Cup final, where Nashville won their first major trophy.
LAFC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps
This is arguably the standout matchup of the weekend, as LAFC welcome Western Conference leaders Vancouver Whitecaps. Arriving at the top of the Western Conference despite a recent 3-1 defeat to Chicago Fire, their attack remains among the league’s most productive, with Brian White scoring 17 goals and Thomas Müller providing a consistent creative dimension.
St. Louis City SC vs. LA Galaxy
St. Louis City SC close out the weekend’s featured fixtures against the LA Galaxy on Sunday. The hosts are unbeaten in 19 matches, winning four of their last five matches. LA Galaxy have never beaten St. Louis City in seven attempts, losing three and drawing four.
