The sixth edition of the Leagues Cup began this week, with LAFC opening their tournament play on Wednesday, August 5, against Mexican giants Chivas Guadalajara. With bolstering league form heading into the tournament, LAFC will be looking to make a statement after failing to make the knockout round in last year’s tournament
LAFC’s best-ever finish came in the 2024 Leagues Cup, where they finished as runners-up to Columbus Crew. Taking care of business from the beginning is essential for all participating MLS teams, with all four qualifying MLS teams winning at least two of their three Phase One games.
