Lots of great action in the quarter final

The quarter final of the Euros has produced many great moments. The quarterfinal matches were full of shocks, great moments and lots of excitement. Biggest surprises of all was arguably France being knocked out by Ukraine. Les Bleus defeat in the quarter final arguably made England the favorites to win the tournament. Ukraine stun the favorites in the quarter final

The Zhinky managed to stun France against all the odds by beating them 3-1 in the quarters. Ukraine made only their second semis appearance in their history. Last time Ukraine was in the semis was in 2006 where they ended up as runners-up that year. Les Bleus took a lead through Cherki who opened the scoring in the 19^th minute. They would then go on to stumble against Ukraine right before the break falling behind 2-1 after a brace from Sudakov. Bondarenko then wrapped up the scoring to make it 3-1 in the 86^th minute and Ukraine marched to the semi final. Israel managed to also make the semi final for the first time in their history after beating the hosts Georgia 4-3 on penalties. A penalty miss from Khvadagiani gave Israel an opportunity to make history.

England top Portugal

The Three Lions managed to defeat Portugal 1-0 in a match that saw Portugal dominate every area of the game. A goal from Newcastle youngster Gordon gave England the lead in the 34^th minute. It was also a great game from Gibbs White who got his third assist of the tournament. His assist to Gordon put him on top of the assist list. England will now go on to face Israel in the semi final who they will be massive favorites against. Spain took on Switzerland in an intense match. La Roja took the lead through Man City’s Sergio Gomez only for the Swiss to equalize through Amdouni. Spain then retook the lead as Juan Miranda struck the ball from outside of the box in the quarter final tie. They will now go on to face Ukraine in the semi final who they faced earlier in the group stage.
