The CWC entering the latter stages

As the Club World Cup enters the final stages of the competition, we look at the final four best teams and how they reached that stage. The last four teams standing are Fluminense, Chelsea, PSG, and Real Madrid, and we will assess all their chances of achieving glory in this competition. Many spectators will be eagerly anticipating this clash, as the winner has the chance to be champions of the world and win $150 million.
Fluminense will lean on their defense to get them through

Fluminense is probably the least likely team people forecasted to get to this stage. The Brazilians will probably be just as surprised as we are that they progressed so far into the competition, given the fact that they were the underdogs against Al-Hilal and Inter. With veteran defender Thiago Silva leading their backline, Fluminense has proven to be a real force at the back. Fluminense is also yet to concede in the knockout stages and has the second-best defensive record in the competition after PSG. The Brazilian side will be eager to keep their strong record at the back going against Chelsea. However, given Chelsea’s deadly counterattacks, that may be too much to ask for.
Chelsea expected to reach the final

Despite Chelsea being the favorites against Fluminense, they can expect to suffer and potentially face their hardest match yet. The Blues will come up against a familiar face when they take on Fluminense in Thiago Silva, who helped lead them to their 2021 European triumph. However, Chelsea’s ability to overload the midfield and create a numerical advantage when attacking could see them narrowly edge out the Brazilian giants. For Chelsea, the prospect of getting to the final is something that will excite the club from London after a couple of rough seasons.
The Spanish Giants hoping to conquer PSG

Real Madrid will be pleased with their performances so far in this tournament. The Spanish giants will be pleased that they can use this tournament as an experiment to find their team identity and to implement a new system. PSG will be a major test for Real Madrid, and a win for Los Blancos will boost momentum around the squad. Their clash with PSG will also help them know what they need to improve, or it could help them build on what they have done already. There have been a few revolutions for Real Madrid in this tournament, with a few youngsters stepping up in ways nobody thought possible. The revolution of Gonzalo Garcia is a major boost to their attack, as Los Blancos were in need of a number 9 with proper attacking instincts. Arda Güler is also proving vital in midfield, controlling the flow of games.
PSG face Real Madrid challenge

PSG have proven to be a force to reckon with in this tournament, given their recent European triumph as well as their Club World Cup performance. Currently the favorites, no team in this tournament will want to face them, given their dominant attacking nature. However, they will face a real tricky test when they come up against Los Blancos. A win for Los Blancos will be a major reassurance that they are still at the pinnacle of football. Going into the game against Real, they have a massive advantage, given that the Spaniards are just beginning to find their team identity. PSG can also expect to dominate the match, given their style of controlling games and breaking defenses down with their quick link-up play.
