What is set to come in Italy this weekend
Lots of exciting action in the Serie A is set to happen as Italian football returns this weekend. Futbol Mundial brings you the top three games over the course of the Serie A and what makes these matches so important. Futbol Mundial also brings you the players that we think will shine this weekend. The first important match will be AC Milan vs Juventus. Then followed by Sassuolo vs Inter. Lastly followed by Fiorentina vs Lazio. This weekend looks set to be packed with goals yet again.
Inter edges Sassuolo to move further up the table
The Nerazzuri managed to get the better of Sassuolo 2-1 which is the first game of an action packed weekend of games in Italy. Inter and Sassuolo were tied for points before. Sassuolo was in 8th position and Inter was in 9th position and they had the same points however Sassuolo still was ahead. Inter Milan has had a shaky start to the season winning four and losing four as well. The Nerazzurri was in desperate need of a victory considering their poor start to the season. Thanks to Dzeko’s brace Inter was able to get to seventh place. It was a shaky game when Sassuolo equalized but it did not stop Inter from getting the three points. Inter will also very weary as they know the last time they played the Sassuolo they lost 2-0 at their home.
The Clash of the Italian Titans face off once again
AC Milan vs Juventus is not only one of the biggest games this weekend but one of the biggest games in Italy. Bianconeri came into this match with AC Milan being in the same position they were in last season. Juventus’ recent record against AC Milan did not favor them as they have only won one of the last five. Rossoneri will be happy to know that they have picked up 2 wins and 2 draws in their last five games. AC Milan are currently tied in 3rd with Napoli and Atalanta. AC Milan were hoping to bounce back from their midweek in Europe against Chelsea. They did that by beating Juventus 2-0 thanks to goals from Tomori and Diaz. More misery was piled on the Bianconeri as they dropped down to eighth place.
Can Lazio continue their fine start against Fiorentina
Lastly on Sunday Lazio take on Fiorentina. Lazio is flying at moment in Serie A and have five wins in eight games. Whereas the Situation for Fiorentina is very different as they won only two in their opening eight. Fiorentina comes into this fixture having beaten Hearts 3-0 in the Conference League. Whilst Lazio drew against Sturm Graz and will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they face Fiorentina away from home. In their last eight games against Fiorentina the Lazio picked up six victories. Lazio will be very encouraged going into this fixture knowing that they are favorites and will hope to continue their bright start in Italy. Also Lazio will need Ciro Immobile to continue scoring this weekend.
