Doubleheader in Liga MX!: Schedule and details here

Carlos Armando Torres Bujanda Oct 20, 2026 2 min read

World Soccer.—Liga MX shows no signs of slowing down. Matchday 13 of the 2026 Apertura will feature a doubleheader and will take place between Tuesday, October 20, and Wednesday, October 21, right in the home stretch of the regular season, when every point counts in the fight for the Liguilla.

According to a report by Mediotiempo, the previous matchday featured some lopsided scores—Santos’ 5-0 rout of Querétaro, América’s 3-5 loss in León, and Cruz Azul’s 5-0 victory over Juárez—and the intensity is expected to remain high midweek. According to the standings heading into the matchday, América leads with 24 points, followed by Toluca and Atlas with 21, while Chivas, Cruz Azul, and Querétaro each have 20.

On Tuesday, the Clásico de la 57 will be played between Atlético de San Luis and Querétaro, and on Wednesday, the highlight will be Atlas vs. América at Estadio Jalisco—a direct showdown for first place: the Rojinegros can tie the Águilas in points if they secure the three points. Other matchups, such as Tigres vs. León, Santos vs. Pumas, and Pachuca vs. Cruz Azul, promise to be high-intensity affairs.
