Colo-Colo have a verbal agreement in place for the Cape Verde goalkeeper, Vozinha. Documents are yet to be signed, but are likely to be signed over the weekend. Vozinha, whose contract with Portuguese side Chaves ended, is now ready for a new chapter in Chile.

Vozinha’s rise to fame came during the World Cup as his Instagram following skyrocketed from around 50,000 to 29.6 million followers following his standout performances.

Cape Verde, the second smallest nation ever to qualify for the World Cup, came close to upsetting Argentina in the Round of 32 but ultimately lost 3-2 in extra time. Vozinha and the Cape Verde team made headlines following their impressive opening match performance, where they held the eventual champions, Spain, to a 0-0 draw.

Vozinha has previously played club football in Cape Verde, Angola, Moldova, Cyprus, Slovakia, and Portugal. Now, the 40-year-old social media sensation will take his talents to South America. The Chilean side is having a dominant 2026 season, sitting comfortably at the top of the league table with a 13-point lead over second-place side Universidad Catolica.

It’s unclear when Vozinha will make his debut for the club at the moment.
