Al Hilal are once again in transfer talks this summer, with Pedro Neto the newest player linked to a move to the Saudi Pro League. The Saudi Arabian side are set to plan new discussions with Chelsea to push their transfer interest, but it’s said that Chelsea value Neto at a whopping £100 million. No formal bid has been made yet, but it’s unknown whether Al Hilal would be interested in paying such a high fee. However, a financial proposal has already been sent to the Portuguese winger and his camp.
Led by Simone Inzaghi, Al Hilal have spent just €77.47 million this summer, with the majority of that going towards the €64.5m they paid West Ham for Crysencio Summerville. The Saudi side have never been shy to spend money, paying over €50m in the past seasons for Darwin Nunez, Neymar, Malcom, Ruben Neves, and Aleksander Mitrovic. With Karim Benzema set to depart this summer, Al Hilal will free up a lot of money in wages, which can lead to a plethora of more transfers in the coming weeks.
Al Hilal opened their Saudi Pro League campaign on Friday, with a 4-2 win over Al-Faisaly, with goals from Benzema, Malcom, and Ruben Neves (x2). After failing to win the league in the last two seasons, Al Hilal will be hoping players like Pedro Neto can make the difference this season.
