Plenty of transfer news and rumors have continued as the football world transitions from this summer’s World Cup to the 2026/27 club season. Here are the biggest rumors of today:
Alejandro Garnacho: Chelsea to Aston Villa (Here We Go)
Aston Villa have agreed a deal to sign Alejandro Garnacho from Chelsea. The club-to-club agreement features a loan with a buy clause to become mandatory under certain conditions. Unai Emery personally wanted Garnacho, and the medical is also booked. The Argentine winger had 8 goals and 4 assists in 43 games for Chelsea last season.
Karim Adeyemi: Borussia Dortmund to FC Barcelona (Confirmed)
Karim Adeyemi’s transfer fee to FC Barcelona is a fixed €22 million ($25.1m) plus €7 million in performance-based add-ons. The German winger, who finished last season with 10 goals and 8 assists, has yet to be officially announced by Barca. The transfer is expected to be announced on Thursday, with Laporta saying: “We will announce Karim Adeyemi as a new signing today”.
Franco Mastantuono: Real Madrid (Rumored Loan)
Real Madrid have given the green light for Franco Mastantuono to leave on loan, but there is no chance of a buy option clause. This would be a similar deal to Endrick’s last season: a loan, then right back to Madrid. Mastantuono’s transfer from River Plate to Real Madrid cost a base release clause fee of €45 million, with the Argentinian winger scoring three goals in 35 games in his debut season.
Crysencio Summerville: West Ham to Al Hilal (Here We Go)
Al Hilal have agreed a deal to sign Crysencio Summerville from West Ham for a £55m fee plus £10m in add-ons. The Dutch winger has been authorized for a medical after a crazy 48 hours with AS Roma trying until the last moment.
Rodri: Man City to Real Madrid (Rumor)
Rodri dreams of a move to Real Madrid but there’s still no green light from Florentino Pérez to proceed with the move. All depends on the Real president, but nothing has changed at this stage. Man City’s new contract proposal remains valid as the Premier League side still hope to get it done.
