Brazil dominated a lackluster Scotland, defeating them 3-0 to secure first place in their group heading into the Round of 16, while Morocco finished with a 4-2 victory over Haiti to claim second place and wrap up Group C play.
The Verdeamarelha benefited from a superb performance in Miami by Vinicius Jr., who scored in the seventh minute and again in the 45th, making it 2-0 and effectively burying the Scots, who were already worn down by the humidity at the stadium.
In the second half, the Brazilians slowed down the pace, and Neymar Jr. even entered the game to a huge reaction from the crowd—an emotional welcome for one of the heroes of the past. But not before Matheus Cunha scored the goal that made it 3-0 in the 60th minute.

Scotland, which finished in third place, must wait for other results to see if it advances as one of the best third-place teams to the Round of 16. Meanwhile, Brazil heads to Houston, Texas, to face the second-place team from Group F—which will tentatively be either Japan or Sweden—in its Round of 16 match on June 30.
Morocco, the second-place finisher, is heading to Monterrey, where it will await the first-place team from Group F to find out its opponent—likely the Netherlands—in a match scheduled for Monday, June 29.
