The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League season will be the third edition to feature the new league phase format. 36 teams play eight games from September to January, with a league format table determining who advances to the knockout stage.
The UCL league phase pots divide the 36 teams into four seedings of nine based on club rankings, with the 2025/26 Champions League winners taking the top spot in Pot 1. During the league phase, each team is drawn against two teams from each pot, with clubs unable to play against teams from the same nation.

The official draw for the UCL league phase will take place on 27 August 2026, with the first matchday taking place on 8–10 September 2026. The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League final will take place on 5 June 2027 at Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, Spain
